Persian Sunrise — Iran
A vibrant saffron and pomegranate drink with rose water inspired by ancient Persian flavors. World Cup 2026.

Ingredients
- 3 oz pomegranate juice
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz honey
- 3 saffron threads
- 2 oz warm milk (or oat milk)
- 1/4 teaspoon rose water
- Ice cubes
- Pomegranate arils and rose petals, for garnish
Instructions
- Bloom saffron threads in 2 oz warm milk for 10 minutes until the milk turns deep gold.
- Let the saffron milk cool to room temperature.
- In a tall clear glass, combine pomegranate juice, lemon juice, and honey. Stir well.
- Fill the glass with ice.
- Add rose water to the cooled saffron milk and stir.
- Slowly pour the saffron milk over the back of a spoon to create a golden layer on top of the red pomegranate.
- Garnish with pomegranate arils and dried rose petals.
- Serve immediately — admire the sunrise layers before stirring.
