Dakar Bissap — Senegal
A vibrant magenta hibiscus and baobab drink inspired by Senegal's beloved bissap. Perfect for World Cup 2026.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
- 4 oz hot water
- 1 teaspoon baobab powder
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 oz sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Lime wheel, for garnish
Instructions
- Steep hibiscus flowers in 4 oz hot water for 20 minutes. Strain.
- While still warm, whisk in baobab powder until dissolved.
- Add simple syrup, vanilla extract, and lime juice. Stir well and let cool.
- Fill a tall glass with ice and pour the bissap concentrate over.
- Top with sparkling water and stir gently.
- Garnish with a lime wheel.
- Serve immediately — the magenta color is absolutely electric.
