Montevideo Mate Uruguayan mocktail — cold yerba mate with citrus and honey

Ingredients

4 oz cold-brewed yerba mate
1 oz fresh orange juice
0.5 oz honey syrup
0.5 oz fresh lime juice
2 oz sparkling water
Ice cubes
Orange slice and mint sprig, for garnish

Instructions

Cold-brew yerba mate: steep 2 tablespoons in 4 oz cold water for 6+ hours in the fridge. Strain.
In a tall glass, combine cold-brewed mate, orange juice, honey syrup, and lime juice.
Fill with ice and stir well.
Top with sparkling water.
Garnish with an orange slice and a mint sprig.
Serve immediately — the earthy green-gold color is uniquely beautiful.
