The Queens Cooler
A stunning blue-and-orange layered mocktail inspired by the New York Mets — butterfly pea flower tea and blood orange.

Ingredients
- 3 oz brewed butterfly pea flower tea (cooled)
- 0.5 oz honey syrup (1:1 honey and warm water)
- 2 oz fresh blood orange juice
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1 oz club soda
- Ice
- Orange peel twist, for garnish
- Edible flower, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brew butterfly pea flower tea: steep 5-6 dried flowers in 4 oz hot water for 5 minutes. Strain and cool completely.
- Mix the cooled tea with honey syrup and stir until combined.
- Fill a clear glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the blue butterfly pea tea mixture over the ice.
- Combine blood orange juice and lemon juice. Using the back of a bar spoon, slowly pour the orange mixture over the blue layer.
- Top with a splash of club soda.
- Garnish with an orange peel twist. Serve without stirring — let guests admire the layers first.
