Desert Gold — Qatar
A golden saffron and cardamom cooler inspired by Qatari karak chai. Perfect for World Cup 2026 watch parties.

Ingredients
- 3 saffron threads
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- 3 oz strong-brewed black tea, cooled
- 1 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 2 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- Ice cubes
- Cardamom pod and saffron threads, for garnish
Instructions
- Steep the saffron threads in 1 tablespoon of warm water for 5 minutes until the water turns deep gold.
- Brew black tea strong (2 bags in 3 oz water), add the crushed cardamom pods while brewing, then cool.
- In a glass, combine the saffron water, cooled spiced tea, and condensed milk. Stir well.
- Fill the glass with ice and stir until well-chilled.
- Garnish with a whole cardamom pod and a few saffron threads on top.
- Serve immediately — the golden color is mesmerizing.
