Riverfront Blackberry Velvet

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
- 1 oz vanilla bean simple syrup
- 1.5 oz unsweetened tart cherry juice
- 2 oz chilled toasted barley tea
- 0.5 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
- 3 oz chilled sparkling water
- Fresh blackberry and orange peel for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Muddle the blackberries with the vanilla bean syrup in a shaker until the fruit is thoroughly crushed.
- 2. Add tart cherry juice, chilled toasted barley tea, and fresh orange juice.
- 3. Add ice and shake for about 12 seconds to chill and combine the still base.
- 4. Double-strain into a tall glass filled with fresh ice to remove seeds and pulp.
- 5. Top with chilled sparkling water and stir once with a long spoon.
- 6. Garnish with a fresh blackberry and a curled strip of orange peel, then serve immediately.
