The Painted Desert Spritz
A vibrant, alcohol-free Arizona-inspired mocktail with prickly pear, lime, and fresh sage. Perfect for refreshing desert-themed sipping.

Ingredients
- 2 oz prickly pear syrup
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 4 fresh sage leaves
- 4 oz chilled sparkling mineral water
- 1 tsp agave nectar
- Ice cubes
- Garnish: Lime wheel and a fresh sage sprig
- Optional: Tajin or sea salt for the rim
Instructions
- 1. If desired, rim a highball glass with lime juice and dip into Tajin or sea salt.
- 2. In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the fresh sage leaves with the agave nectar and lime juice to release the herbal oils.
- 3. Add the prickly pear syrup and a handful of ice to the shaker.
- 4. Shake briefly for about 10 seconds to chill the mixture without over-diluting.
- 5. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
- 6. Top with chilled sparkling mineral water and stir gently to combine the layers.
- 7. Garnish with a lime wheel and a fresh sprig of sage for an aromatic finish.
