A balanced alcohol-free drink built around real citrus and fruit flavor.
Easy-to-find ingredients and an approachable home-bar method.
Made for an everyday treat, dinner party, or celebratory pour.
Makes 1 serving. Ingredient quantities update with the selected batch size.
Prepare the ornate rim: Mix edible gold luster dust with white sugar crystals in a shallow plate. Wet the rim of a crystal coupe or wide-mouth champagne glass with lemon juice, then dip and twist in the gold-sugar mixture. Set aside to dry for 2 minutes.
Chill the prepared glass in the freezer for 5 minutes while you prep the layers.
Make the red layer: Combine watermelon juice and grenadine. Stir gently. This should be a deep, rich red — the color of fireworks against the night sky.
Make the white layer: Blend coconut cream with vanilla extract and white chocolate syrup until silky smooth. It must be room temperature — not cold, not warm.
Make the blue layer: Combine ice-cold butterfly pea flower sparkling water with lemon juice. The lemon will shift it to a vibrant purple-blue. Keep this ice cold.
Place one large clear ice sphere in the center of your chilled glass.
Pour the red layer slowly around the ice sphere — it should pool at the bottom. Wait 30 seconds for it to settle.
Using the back of a gold bar spoon held just above the red layer, pour the white vanilla coconut cream very slowly. It will float on the red. Wait 30 seconds.
Pour the blue butterfly pea flower sparkling water over the back of the spoon, even more slowly than the white layer. It will crown the top.
Scatter dried edible flower petals (red and blue) across the blue surface.
Place the strawberry fan on one side of the rim and the blueberry pick on the other.
Add the mini American flag pick in the center.
THE GRAND FINALE — Right before serving, tear open both Pop Rocks packets and sprinkle generously across the entire blue surface. The crackling begins immediately — this is your fireworks show. Serve INSTANTLY.
Tell your guest to take their first sip within 30 seconds while the Pop Rocks are still crackling. The sound + taste + visual = an unforgettable sensory experience.
For a crowd: Make the non-carbonated base ahead in a clear dispenser and finish each glass with chilled bubbles.
Easy swaps: Use mixed berries in place of a single berry garnish. Use ginger ale instead of sparkling water for a sweeter celebratory pour.
Yes, but keep carbonation separate until the last moment.
Use a clear glass, plenty of ice, and ripe fruit or a lightly steeped tea base.
Fruit skewers, citrus wheels, and mint are safer than non-edible decorations.
