Tereré Fresco — Paraguay
A refreshing yerba mate cold brew with lime and mint inspired by Paraguay's national drink. Perfect for World Cup 2026.

Ingredients
- 4 oz cold-brewed yerba mate (steep 2 tbsp in cold water for 4+ hours)
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- 6 fresh mint leaves
- 2 oz sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Lime wheel and mint sprig, for garnish
Instructions
- Cold-brew yerba mate: add 2 tablespoons loose yerba mate to 4 oz cold water. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best). Strain.
- In a tall glass, gently muddle the mint leaves with simple syrup.
- Add the cold-brewed mate and lime juice. Stir to combine.
- Fill with ice and top with sparkling water.
- Garnish with a lime wheel and a fresh mint sprig.
- Serve immediately — the earthy green color is beautiful.
